It's getting too hard for me to write introductions lately. The words just refuse to come to my mind. But I guess, there has to be an introduction to this page.

So, well, hey there, you people on the other end of the phone cable! Je suis Ramsi et c'est mon petit projet.

I'm a Windows XP user, poor me. And though it's a quite stable OS compared with the other Microsoft creations in the last ten years, XP is still as ugly, as all its predecessors. Bright, shiny, tasteless... we all know Microsoft corporate design. And one day I grew tired of it. I installed a lot of customizing software, downloaded a lot of skins and changed the look of my system hell a lot of times. And yet, after many hours, my feelings could be best expressed by the Stones' "Satisfaction". Sure there were quite a few good skins out there, but most of them had that cold futuristic touch, which somehow made me feel uncomfortable in front of the screen. The not-futuristic ones... well, they just didn't fit together.

I wanted a warm and cosy desktop. Best, something fantasy-oriented, since I quite enjoy leaving our dull world time to time to travel in the Middle-Earth or somewhere on the Sword Coast. Metaphorically. Alas. And so I desided to make all the skins myself. One who dreams of becoming a professional illustrator has to have some practice, after all. At this point you probably say: "Sheesh, this guy is a freak." Yeah, I know. More than you think, actually ;-)

Anyway, I chose Warcraft as the main theme for many reasons. First of all, because I love the game. Use to play it since 96, I think. It has a great atmosphere and funny orcs and I wanted to pay it a tribute. Also it offers many ideas and for a skinmaker. Not that I ever made any skins before, but the game just looked very promissing.

That's it, I suppose. Enjoy the works :-)
Hope I'll find the time to finish the project.
